Listed below are some of the kids favorite apps and websites that they use in my classroom and in computer class with Mrs. Spurgin They are all very educational and fun! If you get a chance, try these out at home with your child!
Apps:Endless Alphabet- A fun game that uses monsters and silly letters to teach the kids letter sounds and new vocabulary.
Geoboard- An app where the kids can work on creating different shapes and objects using a geoboard and rubber bands. Helps with shape recognition and creativity. Futaba- An app where students "race" another play to identify an object int eh middle of the board and then click on the correct name of the object from 4 choices they are given. Helps with word recognition. My Piggy Bank- This app helps students practice the names and values of the 4 coins. Very fun! Number Scale/Chicken Run- A great Math app where your child has to balance a scale when given an addition sentence. Line em Up- This is another Math app designed to help students work on number sense and number lines. They are given a number line with missing numbers and have to fill in the blanks accordingly |

Starfall.com- A fun and colorful website that helps children learn how to read. It contains interactive books and phonics games.
abcya.com- This is an educational website for kids K-5th grade. It provides reading, math and just plain fun games for the kids to play. pbskids.org- This paint by letter game is a great way to help kids get better at identifying their letters and colors. There are many different, fun pictures they can "paint"! www.learningplanet.com- This is a fun website that includes many holiday and seasonal games. The kids have play Mr. Elephant's Matching Game and just LOVE it! Scholastic/Clifford Games- This site contains multiple games with Clifford the Big Red Dog. There is memory match, making a word, sound/letter match and many interactive books. Check it out! GoNoodle.com- This site is a great way to get you child moving and grooving! It has many active songs and games your child participates in. The more they move and dance the bigger their monster grows. Very fun site! |
